Ted and Erin have put together a great Christian novel in Kiss!
I have really become a Ted Dekker fan as his books are very well written, always start with a good "hook," and finish strong. As with all of the Dekker novels I have read thus far, this one starts with a great hook. You are up to your eyeballs in the story right from the start, which is just how I like it! Personally, I prefer a book that starts strong, stays strong, and finishes strong. This is a great example of that technique.
The storyline is very well thought out, with just the right number of supporting cast, and a good collection primary and secondary characters. I very much enjoyed the development of these characters within the story, how they interacted, and the multi-threaded approach to the story which culminates with a vigorous ending having all the diverse threads come together very nicely!
While reading the last third of the book, I couldn't put it down! This is so much the norm for Ted Dekker!
While there's something of a twist in this story (which I won't divulge), it could very well happen in true life. The combination of characters are well thought out, and it is entirely evident that the authors have done their research into the required fields for this book. This story had me guessing who was good and who was bad, and with one exception, I was wrong in my guesses! I
would have no problem suggesting this book to any one of any age. Another great book in the Dekker suite of books!
Enjoy!
